This Privacy Policy describes how The Resource Key, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our website, purchase our digital products, or attend our online or in-person events, workshops, and coaching (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

Definitions

•      Company refers to The Resource Key, LLC, 2200 N George Mason Dr. #7644, Arlington, VA 22207.

•      Personal Data means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

•      Service refers to our website (https://theresourcekey.com/), digital products, and online and in-person events.

•      Event Data means information we collect specifically in connection with in-person or live virtual events, described in the new section below.

•      Usage Data means data collected automatically through your use of the Service.

Information We Collect

Personal Data You Provide

When you register for an Offering, purchase a product, or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, billing information, company or organization name, and any information you voluntarily submit (for example, in an intake form, survey, or testimonial).

Event Data (In-Person and Live Events) — New

When you register for or attend an in-person workshop, retreat, mastermind, or networking event, or a live virtual session, we may additionally collect:

•      Check-in and attendance records, including sign-in sheets at physical venues;

•      Photographs, video, and audio recordings taken during the event, which may capture your image, voice, or likeness (see the Media Release in our Terms and Conditions);

•      Dietary, accessibility, or emergency-contact information you provide for the purpose of planning or safely running an in-person event; and

•      Feedback, survey responses, or testimonials submitted during or after the event.

We share limited Event Data (such as your name, headcount, or dietary/accessibility notes) with the hosting Third-Party Venue (e.g., a coffee shop, floral studio, or event space) solely as needed to plan and run the event. We do not sell Event Data to third parties.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, time and date of visit, time spent on pages, and other diagnostic data when you use our website.

Third-Party Social Media Services

If you register or log in through Google, Facebook, or similar services, we may collect Personal Data already associated with that account, such as your name, email address, and profile information, as permitted by that service.

How We Use Your Information

•      To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including registering you for and delivering online and in-person Offerings;

•      To plan and safely run in-person events, including sharing necessary information with hosting Third-Party Venues and, in a medical emergency, with emergency responders;

•      To communicate with you about your purchase, registration, or event logistics;

•      To send you newsletters, marketing, or promotional materials, where permitted, with the ability to opt out at any time;

•      To publish photos, recordings, or testimonials from events consistent with the Media Release in our Terms and Conditions;

•      To evaluate and improve the Service, including analyzing usage trends and the effectiveness of our programs; and

•      To comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, property, and safety of the Company, our clients, and others.

How We Share Your Information

•      With Service Providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., payment processors, email and scheduling platforms, video conferencing providers);

•      With hosting Third-Party Venues, limited to the Event Data reasonably needed to plan and run an in-person event;

•      With business partners, for co-hosted events or offerings, where applicable;

•      In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets;

•      With your consent, including for testimonials and marketing use of event photos or recordings; and

•      Where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company or others.

We do not sell your Personal Data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Data Retention

We retain Personal Data and Event Data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Event photos and recordings used for marketing may be retained longer, consistent with the perpetual license described in our Terms and Conditions, unless you request removal as described below.

Your Choices

•      You may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

•      You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Personal Data by emailing info@theresourcekey.com.

•      You may ask that a specific event photo or testimonial be removed from our marketing by emailing info@theresourcekey.com; we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request going forward, though we cannot guarantee removal from materials already distributed.

•      Cookies: You can instruct your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of our website may not function properly without them.

Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under 13, and in-person events are intended for participants 18 or older unless expressly advertised otherwise (see Section 10.6 of our Terms and Conditions). We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13.

Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your Personal Data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date; material changes will be highlighted via email or a prominent notice on our website.
